“Walking down the aisle was one of my favourite moments. I thought I would be emotional, but I just couldn’t walk to the altar fast enough! I couldn’t wait for Mason to see me and for me to hold his hand….”
I knew I wanted an Anna Campbell dress. I had been seeing her gowns for a good 3 years, dreaming of the day that it would be my turn. I still tried to keep an open mind so I also went to three other bridal stores but for me really there was no match. My dress was from Soul Sisters in Fremantle who stock a small range of Anna Campbell’s gowns. I loved the dress as soon as I stepped into it! It was simple but had everything I was looking for. It was vintage with small capped beaded sleeves; it was flowy, romantic and it had details without being over the top. I loved the bow at the back. It was very comfortable and I felt very special wearing it.
We didn’t look at too many reception venues because the East Fremantle Yacht Club incorporated everything we were looking for. I love the water and I knew I wanted a venue by the river; the Swan River is simply so beautiful. I wanted something with lots of windows to look out onto the river and all those gorgeous yachts. An environment that felt fresh and open. I wanted a venue that had that ‘wood-look’ to match our vintage/rustic wedding theme. I also loved that the dance floor was in the centre of the room, I think it encourages people to mingle more.
Reece Woo our videographer! Wow just wow! He was so friendly & very creative. He paid attention to detail, he has real talent and reasonably priced. Rebecca from Fox and Rabbit was so friendly and creative as well, lovely to work with and the flowers she created were beautiful!
Bronwyn Wallis our harpist from Perth Professional Entertainment was fantastic at the ceremony. The positive comments we got from her were unreal, she played Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Lifehouse; wow! She was talented. Our DJ Scott-E was unreal! The dance floor was full the whole night, my dad especially was very impressed, people that do not normally dance were up dancing all night!
I am so glad we got a videographer. We were contemplating if we should spend the money on having the day recorded or not; but gosh we are both so glad we did! We love our video and plan to watch it every anniversary. Other people that have watched our video, wish they had gotten one too. So please – you do not have to spend much on it, but once the wedding is over, memories are all you have left.
